single-hand Rods

I currently have two single hand tapers available. both of these rods are hollowed, light weight and medium-fast in action. both were tweaked and tested throughout the rugged back country of Vancouver island.

The first, a 7’ 7’’ 4/5 weight rod, is modelled after a classic rod that i’ve really enjoyed. this rod taper was tweaked to accompany further casting distance and line control, all while keeping a compact length. perfect for a small mountain stream or for the wonderful pockets of water we pay homage to here on Vancouver island.

The second, a 8’ 5/6 that has become a spectacular all around trout rod. this taper is great for handling larger flies while maintaining a soft approach and remaining light and smooth in hand.

Any and all classic rod builds requested are much obliged. I am always eager to learn more about each design that has allowed the modern builder to achieve what they can today.

All Single-hand rods are custom ordered. All rods come with a custom canvas rod sock and aluminum travel tube, respectfully.
